Here's to the Underdogs (The Week in Review)

A quiet day at the Pub brings us two teams I'd like to see win today.

Dear Fellow Expat:

An Poitin Stil has been around for 25 years.

The family pub hasn’t changed much in that time.

There’s still the same picture of John F. Kennedy in the cottage room.

The story goes that many Irish citizens put pictures of the former president on their walls after his visit to the country in 1963.

There was much pride after Kennedy said that Ireland was "not the land of my birth, but the land for which I hold the greatest affection."

I’ll be here today watching Indiana University (one of my graduate schools) attempt to take down Ohio State. Despite being undefeated, they’ll enter the game as 10.5-point underdogs. Then, tonight, we have Army playing Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium.

It’s a big day for the underdog.

I don’t foresee an upset in the latter game. But we’re holding out hope for Indiana.
