Dear Reader:

As we barrel toward tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada this week, I am looking for clues into the market’s pending reaction.

The Israeli stock market - largely fueled by technology - is pushing higher. That’s encouraging - this can be an excellent proxy for global markets on a Monday.

But Bitcoin—primarily a proxy and associated with risk-off liquidity concerns—has slumped below $100,000 and could continue to sink.

It seems that this market wants to sell off, but the question of when a deal is right around the corner always arises.

Right now, China NEEDS to make a deal. On its currency. On its trade.

On its economic structure.

China, I understand that we need to turn the screws in the capital wars.

But I don’t think this will end very well… and will result in more money printing in the future. (That’s great for the stock market and wealthy people who own equities).

The North American tariffs make zero sense to me.
