You're not painting a very pretty picture. And I thank you. The middle-class are going to get wiped out and they're not going to see it coming. I think it's going to get ugly.
There are many dimensions of ugly (sounds like you are aware of that and I am not sure it is productive to enumerate them here).
"War Games" came out the year I graduated from high school. I mention that because we thought we had a scary future there that needed a change of course.
Probably too much to ask AI to figure out that every "game"/scenario that it "plays" is a fat L.
