Postcards: Bald Eagles Dropping Sharks Onto Enemy Boats
Military strategy wasn't my favorite part of the graduate school curriculum... plus the week ahead on Apple and Amazon earnings, the July jobs report, and two stocks to trade on Friday morning.
Dear Fellow Expat:
At the pub, chatter emerged that two Florida fishermen caught a small shark this week. As they pulled their first daily catch closer to the boat… a jealous thief decided it was time to steal their ocean ransom.
A Bald Eagle.
The giant bird swooped in and took the shark right off the line. The fishermen didn’t care – because they earned a great story to tell the local news and their friends in Dunedin, along the panhandle.
This image got me thinking – that this would make for a very effective air force strategy in the Florida Republic. Eagles carrying sharks… and dropping them onto enemy ships. I know that there are concerns that several hostile nations might build military bases or expand their presence into the Caribbean.
The proper response… is right in front of you.
Bald eagles carrying sharks along the beach. Freedom and fearless.
