Greetings from Boca Raton.
I’m sitting on the balcony at the Beach Club of The Boca Raton.
There’s luxury… and then there is this hotel.
Wow… I just came over for a conference this morning, and now I want to make this the capital of the Florida Republic.
Apparently, they decided that it was a good morning to do construction on the beach-front properties.
It sounds like a dentist's drill on NFL stadium-level speakers… all while I sit here and see one of the prettiest beach views that rivals Greek sunsets or the views of Malibu or Laguna Beach.
That’s a pretty metaphor for the state of affairs.
There is positive economic news… but there is NOISE all around us.
Today, U.S. GDP came in at 2.4% for the quarter. This beat expectations. The economy and the consumer are resilient, even if we continue to bleat about crumbling manufacturing numbers and weakness in the financial sector.
