Venture capital is one of the great areas of finance that makes America an innovative nation. Somehow, that's escaped the man who wants to be Vice President.
Dear Fellow Expat:
I don’t like politics.
I’m writing in my dog for President when I vote in three weeks.
But sometimes I just have to say something… before I start throwing computer monitors around or drinking Long Drink at lunch.
In a stump speech this week, Walz ranted about JD Vance (who doesn’t matter to me much otherwise.)
Walz said Vance is a venture capitalist cosplaying as a cowboy… and tweeted that venture capitalists treat rural communities as commodities.
First… he’s confusing venture capital with private equity managers.
Second... why does he know the word "cosplaying?"
Third… he followed up in the speech that he doesn’t know what venture capitalists do half the time.
If you’re a politician, you MUST know the importance of venture capital.
There should be a test to become President and Vice President.
Part of the test should focus on economics and risk-taking.
