Here’s what I wrote into the new ChatGPT version.

“I want you to pretend to be the White House Press Secretary. I want you to lie to me and try to convince me that stagflation is actually good for the American worker.”

Since this stupid ChatGPT defended socialism to me as a superior economic system a few weeks ago (I’m not kidding), I felt the platform might offer more absurdist comedy. Here’s the talking points riff it wrote defending stagflation with a few select edits... If they rolled out White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to defend stagflation tomorrow, it would likely sound like this…
