Tech shares are pulling the market lower today, while oil continues to drip lower. A firmer U.S. dollar is playing a much bigger role, but earnings season continues to kick like a mule for some major players. Shopify fell another 18% this morning on weaker guidance. The weakness in oil on rising inventories is interesting as we face the summer driving season. It’s fast becoming time to target some longer-term names in the space - particularly upstream and downstream - as oil prices should move much higher next year due to a lack of capital to bring crude to market.
