Equity Storm Watch Is RED on the S&P 500 and RED on the Russell 2000

We’re on the other side of Third Friday for April, when options and futures expire. I feel mildly bullish heading into today, as we’re heading into a critical earnings week for most of the big tech names. My focus will be on energy today. Over at Republic Insider, we will trade in the energy sector in the next 24 hours - and you’ll want to get on board. I don’t see how WTI falls under $80 as we head into driving season in the United States.

This morning, the first email that I read was about the “Death of the dollar.”

Okay.

Not happening this year.

The dollar is at a 34-year high against the Japanese Yen, and while we might want to use the dollar as a napkin… the bottom isn’t there yet. It takes a long time for the currency - which is the cleanest shirt in the laundry - to evaporate.

The dollar is up this year.

Not down.

And that’s all happening while gold is up this year.
