Good morning from the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport in Rome.
We are preparing for a hasty exit over the Mediterranean Sea and a roundabout travel over the Northern Atlantic. We’ll arrive in New York City sometime around 5:30 and then spend a few hours in the Delta Club. At that point, I’ll be starting my analysis for next week’s new core portfolio.
The core portfolio arrives on Monday and consists of seven stocks that we will trade more actively this time. I have been adding a stock a month, but this experiment will center this time on finding the seven names with the most upside based on their specific momentum and reversion metrics and then selling them if they do fall under their 20-day moving averages - and buying back at the 50-day or 20-day averages.
Naturally, this is more of an 18-month buy-and-hold strategy for up to two years, in line with the work of Ben Graham and Joseph Piotrotski.
