Dear Fellow Expat:

One of Maryland's most dangerous driving hazards appears like clockwork each morning on Interstate 83.

At precisely 7:45 AM, as commuters make their final major turn toward downtown Baltimore, the sun transforms a simple highway bend into a 100-foot gauntlet of blinding light.

No car visor ever manufactured can defeat Apollo's perfect angle of attack, leaving drivers to navigate this stretch essentially blind.

The obvious solution seems simple: build a 150-foot wall to block the glare.

But in the world of politics, things are always complicated.

So, this morning, while dodging those intense orange beams like everyone else, I wondered how America's various political parties would address this crisis. Indeed, they'd find a way to turn this simple infrastructure fix into a platform for their own agendas.

Below, I've compiled how each party would likely respond to the Great I-83 Sun Crisis.
