The “Orange” Swan Comes to Oil Markets
The most important people in the world don’t know what to expect with energy prices.
Dear Fellow Expat:
Greetings from a hospital room in Essex, Maryland.
In an hour or so, I’m having a flexible bronchoscopy.
That sounds invasive, and the doctor claims he knows what he’s doing.
The procedure has been delayed until 9:30 a.m. due to an emergency. I assure you that the patient needs the room more than I do.
That’s good news because the last doctor had 27 years of experience in Thoracic Surgery, but he couldn’t decide whether I should have this procedure. It’s good that I am, as the mass hasn’t changed in size in the last month.
Experience is hard to come by. Conviction is even harder.
Everyone in America is an expert on everything on Twitter… but even people with degrees and knowledge cannot seem to make a basic medical decision.
I’m sure there’s an insurance reason behind that.
So – as we stare into the unknown of what’s in my left lung, I want to distract myself with a little more uncertainty.
