Apple is the largest component of the S&P 500, second on the Nasdaq, and a leading component of 404 exchange traded funds.

The company has completely altered the consumer electronics industry over the last few decades. It has enjoyed unrivaled investment from some of the world’s most powerful money managers, including Warren Buffett, and the legendary firm Berkshire Hathaway.

What is so incredible about Apple?

First, it’s a global brand that has dominated the world. But it always wasn’t that way.

In the 1990s, it was a struggling personal computer company. But thinks changed in 2006 when CEO Steve Jobs released the iPhone. It was unlike any phone ever released – quickly overwhelming the hardware leaders in Nokia and Motorola.

The company followed with groundbreaking, user friendly products in the iPad, MacBook’s, and iWatches. It is expected to soon release its own virtual headset – likely named reality pro in the future.
