Dear Fellow Reader:

I’m going to warn you.

You will wake up one day, and Republic Research will have changed.

There will be a different theme.

It will have the same attitude, images (not an alligator, though), and writing style/analysis.

But this move up north has created a different sense of life.

It’s a lot faster here.

It’s not fair to sit here and pretend that I’m sitting under a palm tree, writing from an outpost.

I’m 35 minutes from Washington D.C. Interstate-83 is an insane drive.

I’m not exactly on an island somewhere.

A publication should reflect its surroundings.

And - why not?

It’s not like the rules of the market or life will change—just the drapes.
