LOVE that video, Garrett. The great part is you entertain us on the ride. going back to finish the article now, just wanted to tell you how cool that video is!
I am looking forward to the long-term investing and compound ideas…… I don’t have any anything else to add, because I’m just a newbie out here learning and being entertained along the way! Thanks for all you do. I truly do learn so much, and it’s fun! Plus, since I live in Florida, I do feel sorry for you. Living up there in Maryland just kidding. My family is from that area.
and P.S. asking what we are missing truly is something we need to start asking ourselves on so many levels. I used to think I was smart, now I just know there’s plenty that I am missing! Ha ha
I found your guest's arguments unconvincing. There is a time for quality stocks but waiting for that time while the market is running hot due to Treasury manipulation (while momentum rules) is not that time. Investing in equities that are trailing the market as a whole seems to be a bad strategy. Waiting for the time when QE (openly stated or under 1000 different names) stops and momentum fails _and_ then switching to value stocks seems to be a better strategy (provided we use prudent trailing stops on our current investments). Having a list of those stocks to switch to is necessary however.
I appreciate your insight. The purpose of these conversations are exactly to determine what we are missing. Maybe he is right, and maybe he isn’t. But I am intellectually curious… and I think he made some good points about the long-term intrinsic value elements. I can’t say that I agreed with everything… that’s not my job. But I’m looking for the best elements to fuse into my analysis. That’s the job. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

Thank you Joan... It took so much time to get that right... haha.

IMO, we are missing a real Free Market. Our current Economy/Markets are corrupt and rigged from the ground up. And no one is going to touch that.

" It sure is a helluva lot easier to be first."
Your mental journeys are always intriguing !! You are always on the mental hamster wheel and we are all the better for it.
We wake as students each day. That's a true blessing!
