If you don't know what the Federal Reserve does... that's on you.

Most Americans couldn't explain what the Federal Reserve does if you paid them in gold bullion.

The Fed might as well be a mythical creature, given how little the average person understands it, despite its massive influence over our wallets, homes, and jobs.

When it comes to Fed knowledge, Americans are failing spectacularly. Only 7% of Americans say they know "a lot" about the Federal Reserve's responsibilities.

That's fewer people than can name all the Kardashians!

Meanwhile, a whopping 21% admit they know "nothing at all" about what the Fed does, with another 33% admitting they know "not very much."

Even worse? Only 8% of Americans correctly know that the Fed is supposed to maximize employment.

That's right – the institution controlling our economic destiny is a mystery to over 90% of the people affected by its decisions.
