Actually, listening to Christine Lagarde talk this morning, she made it sound like Europe has a fine handle on the whole issue. Even well-into next year. And I did like her way of saying she was staying as head of the ECB.
I always figured the true inflation rate was double the CPI. That is, until you turned me on to the Chapwood Index, which indicated the true inflation rate is 3x to 4x the CPI.
They have been lying to the US taxpayers/producers for so long, there would be dire consequences, if they started publishing the true inflation rate. First off, it would expose the Federal Reserve for what it truly is, which IMHO has been the most destructive force in the history of man. This might lead to a revolution, which would end the Fed, the US government and the monetary system. Theoretically, I don't see these at bad things, but in reality, it would be devastating for several years, until something better replaced it. Almost anything would be better.
What's crazy is when I explain this to intelligent, productive people, they have an almost total lack of interest. I don't think they want to know,
"We've embedded a broken thermometer into the heart of the American economy."
I do believe, that is not exactly where they stuck the thermometer!
Hahaha
That's good! I hope you don't mind, if I borrow/steal this.
Hope the clipboard guy equivalent is not placing used tyres onto the wings of US military planes lined up on airforce bases.
It is the BS S, not the BLS.
I enjoy your daily messages, not only for the insights but for your way with words and your sense of humor.

She wants the Euro to be the reserve...
