Garrett thank you for a great article. I'm that older retail investor. I thought PE was a thing for donkeys years. Always learning from you - today's lesson was to understand rehypothecation.
Loved your response to Thomas: "If you strip out the divinity… the Gospels are the story of a man against a central bank and the related corruption." https://tinyurl.com/bdhms5
Don't be reading emails at 3am from tipsy economist colleagues who lack your courteous, gracious tone.
Mum is right - how did Emily enjoy the celebrations?
"From there, get ready for someone with the mentality of Zohran Mamdani to end up in the White House. The cracks are there… be prepared for something big to happen."
This is the most depressing thing I've read in a while. Our political parties have done such a bang-up job creating red herrings and straw man arguments, so the public never pinpoints the real problem of bad monetary policy.
I'm surprised we made it this far. I started preparing about 10 years ago and only wish I'd started earlier. 99+% are going to be caught with their pants down. The same 99+% have virtually no interest in educating themselves on the inevitable.
No problem, I just want to keep people informed and awake.

Exactly… and while it’s depressing… it’s reality and why I am arguing that there is time to prepare for this.
I don’t feed people rainbows. I’ve studied enough history…
What is also interesting about people is that they’ve been hearing about bad monetary policy every Sunday and can’t seem put one and one together…

2.7?!?
Aren't we all working 2.7 jobs?
That seems unsustainable.
Yes, and that gets you to a 45 hour work week, including weekends.
Such an important message here. 7yrs goes by fast . Appreciate that outlook 🦾
